"These Destinations Are Getting Ready for More Attention From Planners"
Julie Ford Musselman, president and event planner for Hostess City Celebrations Inc. “Basically, Savannah offers corporate planners affordable room rates, easy access to the airport, and great support from Visit Savannah, the city’s DMO. I also like that it is a walkable city, which gives our attendees more options to add to their experience and our local city tours were fantastic.”
I truly appreciated Julie’s accessibility to our members, the passion she demonstrated for helping us grow stronger, her professionalism and outstanding reputation, and her flexibility and adaptability. I am truly grateful for my time working with her, the experiences we gained together, and the friendship that was established over the years. Thank you for your tremendous service to GACVB and the tourism industry of Georgia!
All of us at Visit Savannah want to express our appreciation for your help with the two IITA events we hosted this past week. From our first meeting, through the event planning, execution and invoicing, you were one step ahead and always there with solutions.
Our guests had a blast and as you heard, most are planning return visits. This had a great deal to do with your efforts. You did an outstanding job for us! We have worked together on several occasions and you’ve always come through for us. You are a consummate professional and we thank you for making us look good. On behalf of our Visit Savannah team and the entire Savannah hospitality community that will benefit from this groups visit, thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Julie, Just a quick note to say thank you so much for your partnership and hard work on so many fronts - but especially on Tourism Day at the Capitol. It would not have happened without you! Your attention to detail and willingness to do "whatever it takes" are absolutely astounding. Thank you so much!

The attention to detail, complete itinerary, and being everywhere we needed you made our lives so much easier as we hosted our guests who arrived in Savannah.
I first had the opportunity to meet Julie many years ago when she assisted with the development for an inaugural annual meeting. Her impeccable planning skills were immediately recognized and embraced. Julie had all the qualities that I find admirable: a true professional who was extremely detailed and organized and creative at the same time. In other words, she just didn’t excel at planning what other people asked her to do; she had her own excellent ideas about how a meeting or conference could be superior. I especially worked closely with Julie to plan the 2010 Governor’s Tourism Conference in Athens, which was a standout conference, due largely to the efforts of Julie’s working in concert with our local host committee. She orchestrated the event masterfully. This lady is indeed well rounded, obviously excelling at anything she does.
Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding dreams a reality. Everyone asked me if it was hard to put together a wedding out of town, and I said not at all! We've got Julie! I really appreciate all the extra little things you did for us, from answering our family's questions about etiquette to hunting down the perfect veil when mine went missing on the wedding day! We chose to work with you because you seemed to be easy to work with as well as knowledgeable and we were right. You became a trusted friend in the process and it was so much fun to have you share in our excitement! All of our vendors told us what a joy you were to work with as well, and how organized you were. Thank you again and we hope to see you when we visit Savannah, our special city!
Thank you again for a perfect week. Everyone enjoyed all the activities and especially the Groundbreaking Ceremony & Reception. It was very organized and professional. Thank you!

The conference was very successful and everyone was impressed with the hospitality shown by the Athens community. I know that preparing for this kind of event takes months of preparation and is a team effort. I would like to thank you and your team for all of your hard work and congratulate you on a job well done.
The Caesarstone celebration was delightful in every way. We were expecting to be standing in the sun (or rain!) on a dusty or muddy field, straining to hear and see the master of ceremonies and other speakers, and dying of thirst and/or hunger in the middle of the afternoon. Instead, the groundbreaking was an elegant party with delicious food and drink; everyone enjoyed the ceremonies in perfect comfort, and we each now have a charming memento of the groundbreaking (mine is on my desk), easily portable in a signature orange Caesarstone bag! Dinner at Marker 107 was fun and relaxing in a beautiful setting, and our meal was wonderful - something for everyone. Thank you for your hard work in creating a lovely and memorable event.

"Top 10 Historic Wedding Sites"
Wedding planner Julie Musselman, the owner of Hostess City Celebrations, explained that Savannah boasts and incredibly wide selection of historic sites for couples looking to tie the knot.
You went above and beyond your “duties.” Your attentiveness and kindness to me was deeply appreciated. Those details you addressed made what could have been a nightmare into a delightful experience. I felt almost like royalty! Thank you for all that you did. It was a joy to have the festivities in your capable hands.
We all enjoyed having an opportunity to work with you this year. You did a great job making things happen and we would not have gotten anywhere near our objectives without your help. We also appreciate your willingness to work with us on future events.
When we lost our first wedding from Hurricane Katrina, I thought our wedding would never be what I dreamed it would be so many times... [but] It was perfectly planned down to every detail. Everyone fell in love with your town and commented on how wonderful it was to be in another city where no one had to be reminded of our reality back in New Orleans. Sometimes I think about how I planned our first wedding for 9 months and you planned this wedding in just 2 months. Being displaced and trying to plan a wedding in a city that I did not know, was so overwhelming and you tolerated me during a time in my life that when I look back on it, I know that I was feeling lost. I was experiencing more emotions from the hurricane, from being separated from my family at such a hard time, and trying to plan another wedding than I would ever let surface. So I thank you for helping me keep my sanity, enabling me to get married and for giving me a wedding that we will never be able to forget.
It was great to be part of such a successful 10th anniversary celebration of the opening of the International Trade and Convention Center. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I appreciate your hospitality in accommodating my staff and me. Thanks for taking such great care of me during our visit.
Savannah offers more entertainment options for the couple's friends than would a smaller community, Musselman notes.
