A photo of event planner and business owner, Julie Ford Musselman

Julie Ford Musselman, President
Selected as one of ConventionSouth Magazine's meeting professionals to watch, Julie's extreme organization, drive for perfection and instinctive hostess skills make her the consummate Savannah and Hilton Head event planner. Beginning her career in the non-profit world, Julie quickly discovered that working to make an event successful from beginning to end was her favorite part of the job. Whether it was a 5k run, a company event, a wine tasting or a purely social affair, she found great joy in seeing well made plans come to life. Julie worked her way up the association management ladder, planning and marketing numerous fundraisers and special events for the associations she represented. In 2000, Julie realized a lifelong dream of becoming a business owner when she opened Hostess City Celebrations. Since then she has been fortunate enough to plan and organize events for corporate clients, non-profits, and has had the pleasure of assisting 400+ couples with planning their wedding day. She loves that each event presents a different challenge and that she gets to meet new people all the time. In a business where no two days are the same, Julie stays on top of all the details, finds solutions to any challenge, loves logistics, and excels at being calm under pressure.

Julie's approach has become the company's philosophy: we determine each client's needs on an individual basis then customize a plan specifically for them and deliver above the client's expectations. The company's wide reaching network of contacts and vendors from all over Georgia and South Carolina, allows us to put together a unique team of professionals for each event based on the client's vision. There are no cookie cutter templates here. We combine your ideas with our experience to create a fabulous event that will be fondly remembered by all who attend.

Julie is a 1991 graduate of the University of Georgia, a 1998 graduate of Leadership Hilton Head and a 2000 graduate of the Southeast Tourism Society's Tourism Marketing College. She was one of the first event planners to be featured on the national television show Platinum Weddings on the Women's Entertainment Network, and has also appeared locally on Savannah's WTOC's Mid-Morning Live. A local who has deep roots in the Lowcountry, Julie was born and raised in Savannah, GA then moved to Bluffton, SC as a teen where she graduated from Hilton Head High School. When Julie is not working you can bet she is having fun somewhere. You will probably find her traveling, boating, cheering her son's team, or entertaining friends & family at home on the river.
